So, where does this search engine marketing analysis start...

Stage 1 – Mimicking user actions

At the core of the Bluepear SERP checker is an advanced parser (a programme for automated collection and structuring of information from websites) that types in the specified keywords in search. By conducting a thorough SERP analysis, the service mimics user actions from different geos, using proxies from various countries. This brand monitoring scheme allows the program to check search results and get detailed insights with both paid and organic websites.

Stage 2 – SERP analysis and ads scanning

Stage 3 – Collecting evidence of violations

Violations have been found. Now, you need to notify the affiliates to remove brand bidding or dispute payments for poor quality traffic. For this, you'll need evidence: a screenshot of the ad and the UTM tags of the dishonest affiliate.

Often, the affiliate ID is embedded not in the ad link, but in the button on the landing page (usually this is a showcase site or an intermediary site with a lead form). This type of violation is called branded PPC campaigns. In this case, the SERP checker makes an additional pass to such sites, clicks on the button, and saves the link with the affiliate's ID.

Stage 4 – Full report on violations

After conducting competitor analysis and collecting all the evidence, Bluepear automatically generates a report. It will record the domains that were positioned on your keywords, the number of ads and detected webmasters, as well as the date of detection.
